Elaine Gratz
Hi! Although I’ve always had a passion for sports and movement, I found myself especially drawn to the science behind athletic movement when I got to college. This led me to pursue a degree in Exercise Science at THE Ohio State University.
After graduating, I dove into the practical application of my degree through group and personal training at a private gym, plus coaching high school volleyball and track & field.
When my husband and I relocated to Royal Oak for his job, I eventually landed at Foundry 13. This would be the catalyst to hone my specialty: training and developing athletes.
My training strategy is to build the athlete from the foundation up to peak performance. With an emphasis on movement efficiency and injury prevention, I ensure a focus on building stronger, faster, more powerful, and pain-free athletes.
I train my clients to move their body as efficiently and effectively as possible using an assess, correct, improve, and progress framework. It’s a proven method that’s developed results for athletes of all levels.
By utilizing corrective movement screens and personalizing a plan for each of my client’s needs, they develop the improvements in speed, size, and power needed to perform in the field of play.
